Born in Rome in 1965, Luna wrote for the newspaper La Repubblica for over fifteen years. With a specialty in topics related to technological innovation and the Internet, he was the first editor-in-chief for Wired’s Italian edition, and promoted the candidacy of the Internet for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.
From 2014 to 2016 he was a “Digital Champion” for the Italian government, a figure commissioned by the European Union to promote its digital agenda in member states.
A coordinator of the Innovation Advisory Board for Expo2015 and a board member of Oxfam and Building Green Futures, from October 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019 he directed Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (Italian Journalists Agency).
He has directed Italian Tech, a new portal dedicated to technology and innovation for newspapers La Repubblica and La Stampa, and manager for Risorgimento Digitale, TIM’s platform for promoting the use of technology; he has also been the director of Green and Blue, Gedi’s platform focusing on climate, biodiversity, energy, mobility, economics and technology.
Today he is a columnist for the Corriere della Sera newspaper.
