Lusenti has worked as a television presenter, journalist and author for programs on current affairs and politics, history, food and wine with Gregorio Paolini, Gianluigi Nuzzi, Romano Prodi, Marco Paolini, Valerio Massimo Manfredi, Rula Jebreal.
She worked on reportage with Michele Santoro, from Sciuscià and Annozero.

She was the face of Atlantide on La7, and interviewed Italian politicians in Taxipopuli for La3. She began her career with Enrico Deaglio, her first mentor, at Diario. For the program Qb – All’estero quanto basta on Rai 5 and Rai 1, she traveled the world telling the stories of cities through food and museums. She has also collaborated with Italian Swiss TV, leading the investigation Finché morte non ci separi, about the final days of life for pets, from illness and natural death to euthanasia.
She currently hosts That’s Italy broadcasted on Rai Italia – Rai’s international channel distributed in America, Africa, Asia and Australia – and on RaiPlay, a 10-episode docu-series which aims to enhance the Italian Unesco artistic and cultural heritage, showing the beauty of Italian cities to an international public.

For Garzanti, in 2018, she published the wildly popular novel Al mattino stringi forte i desideri [Hold Desire Tight to Till Morning], translated in several European countries including France, where it went to reprint after two months. She finally graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome after missing only her thesis, and graduated with honors in Performing Arts and Sciences with a study on the work of the French director Céline Sciamma, feminism and LGBTQ+ issues.

She volunteers for the National Animal Protection Agency and the children at the Great Word Factory. She speaks English and French, is the daughter and granddaughter of soccer players and has been a Roma fan since she was a little girl growing up in Italian-speaking Switzerland.

She is a frequent public speaker on topics she’s passionate about, from feminism, to human rights, to ecology, cinema and sport. She leads events and debates of all kinds as a moderator, from politics to culture, to current affairs to social issues.
