For almost forty years he has been a familiar presence in the homes of Italians: first on Tg3, then at the helm of Linea Notte, of which he was the face until 2023. A professional journalist, he was born in La Spezia in 1957 and built his entire career at Rai 3, alternating between presenting and working in the field as a special envoy and Editor-in-Chief.
He worked on the long-running program Samarcanda, and hosted programs of news and in-depth reportage as well as, for four seasons, the popular primetime show Ultimo Minuto. In recent years he chose to work on the late-night slot, transforming it into a place of debate and reporting on current events.
In 2023, La nave de Teseo published his first novel, Quella notte a Saxa Rubra [That night in Saxa Rubra], demonstrating a writing style that moves across journalism and fiction with the same clear and avid gaze.
