After completing her undergraduate studies, she attained a PhD in Astrophysics at La Sapienza University in Rome, specializing in the theoretical study of the formation of black holes at the center of the oldest galaxies in the Universe.

Today she is a research fellow at the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), working with RAI as a writer and presenter of in-depth scientific programs, including Superquark+, Noos (Rai 1), Scienziate (Rai Cultura) and Wikiradio (Rai Radio3).

She won the ‘Giovedì Scienza’ National Prize for Young Researchers and the ‘Rossella Panarese’ National Prize for Science Communication. In 2019 she published, together with five colleagues, the book Apri gli occhi al cielo – Guida all’Universo [Open your eyes to the sky – Guide to the Universe] (Mondadori, 2019), selected among the finalists for the National Prize for Science Communication in 2020; her latest book Oltre Marie – Prospettive di genere nella scienza [Beyond Marie – Gender perspectives in science] (Le plurali, 2023) is among the five finalists for the Premio Letterario Galileo for Science Communication 2024.

She is a creator of workshops, conferences and scientific projects and organizes communication and training events on the topic of science and gender. She is also involved in activities aimed at broadening scientific knowledge involving people in prison and in marginalized contexts.
