Born in Trieste in 1987, he worked for Agenzia ANSA from 2008 to 2015 and was head of digital development for La Stampa from 2015 to 2018.
After years at La Repubblica‘s central news office, he is now editor-in-chief and head of the Turin newsroom.
In 2013, he founded Good Morning Italia, a journalism startup that produces a daily roundup of intelligent information for thousands of subscribers and companies.
Pagliaro covers and writes about economics, digital and innovation, and politics. His latest book is Boomers contro millennials. 7 bugie sul futuro e come iniziare a cambiare [Boomers vs. Millennials. 7 Lies About the Future and How to Change It] (HarperCollins, 2023).
He has organized the State of the Net internet industry conference since 2008.
