Andrea Bariselli is a psychologist and entrepreneur in the field of applied neuroscience. At only 25 years old, he became the youngest director of a Clinical Psychology center in Italy, while continuing his research on chronic pain and neurological diseases in hospital settings. In 2011, during a conference in Canada, he discovered one of the first electroencephalogram (EEG) technologies. From that moment on he began dreaming of taking neuroscience out of clinical laboratories.
This vision led him to explore the link between Man and Nature. In 2016 he won the Soldera Prize, an international research award in wine studies, using applied neuroscience to illustrate the impact of red wines on the human brain and the way in which expert sommeliers form their judgements.
In 2018 he brought his company to the US. For four years he worked in San Francisco, until 2021 when he founded Strobilo, a neuro-tech company that aims to revolutionize the relationship between humans and the environment with the help of AI and new technologies.
He is the creator of the successful podcast A Wild Mind, which in just two seasons has garnered more than 1.5 million listeners. This led him to write the book A wild mind. Un viaggio nelle connessioni tra cervello e natura guidato dalle neuroscienze. Per immaginare una vita più umana [A Wild Mind: A journey into the connections between brain and nature guided by neuroscience. To imagine a more human life] for Rizzoli in 2024.
Passionate about sports, he takes part in ultramarathons and contributes to various publications as a reporter and photographer.
He speaks fluent English and Spanish.
