Alessio Viola is a journalist and the main presenter of Skytg24.  He presents special programmes about politics, culture and customs.  He is known for his witty remarks, and his profile biography on Twitter is just “I’ll be bri…”

He was born in Rome on 6 July and is a journalist for SkyTg24.

He began his career as a journalist in print media when he was very young, working for various newspapers as part of the editorial staff of Giorgio Dell’Arti. At the time, he wrote about cars, politics, science, customs and show business for some of the most important daily, weekly and monthly publications, including il Foglio, Sorrisi e Canzoni, Gente, GQ, L’Automobile.

In 2005 he started working at SkyTg24, directed by Emilio Carelli, first as a day time presenter, before moving to prime time.  He edits and presents the news review of the 24-hour news channel.

As the main presenter of SkyTg24, he presents newscasts, special editions, political marathons and in-depth studies.  He follows the big events in the fields of customs, show business and music for Sky.

His special editions have involved interviews with important Italian figures such as Gianni Morandi, Tiziano Ferro, Giorgia, Cesare Cremonini, Antonello Venditti and Corrado Guzzanti.

He presented the 2010 edition of Earth Day, live from Rome’s Circus Maximus.

He took part in the programme after X Factor (Extra Factor) on Sky Uno in 2014 and then went on to present it with Mara Maionchi the following year.

He is a frequent guest on Propaganda Live.
