Veronica Yoko Plebani

Paralympic athlete Veronica Yoko Plebani won a bronze medal at the 2021 Tokyo Paralympics. Born in 1996, and now a multi-sport paralympian in snowboarding (Sochi 2014), kayaking (Rio 2016), and triathlon—which she took home a bronze medal for in 2021

Veronica Yoko Plebani’s story re-started on April 27, 2011 after a sudden case of meningitis C, which she survived with permanent physical damage, but also a powerful desire to get her life back on track.
With a degree in Social and International Political Science, and a thesis on equal opportunity and representation of women in sports, Veronica Yoko has been dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion for years, and has a strong presence on social channels and at events, festivals, conferences, and television programs. In 2020, she published her first novel with Mondadori, Fiori affamati di vita [Flowers Hungry for Life.] She has collected twenty medals at international championship competitions and sixteen gold medals on the national level.
