Andrea Costa is a 24-year-old young man living in Bologna, stuck between unrealized dreams and an
oppressive working reality. He works as a warehouseman in a large DIY store, an alienating and repetitive job that forces him to confront the harsh reality of precarious employment and the working class.
Andrea comes from a working-class family that left him no shortcuts, only the burden of a world where work is neither passion nor fulfillment, but pure necessity.
Through his days filled with early morning alarms, exhausting shifts, resigned colleagues, and a city increasingly divided between those who can afford to choose and those who must simply survive, Andrea observes, reflects, and lets himself be consumed by frustration. His gaze is sharp and unforgiving: he sees the privileged kids playing at being poor, the historic center turning into a playground for tourists, the abandoned outskirts, and the working class bending but never breaking.

His life takes a turn when he falls in love with Giulia, a girl from a completely different world—the world of the cultured and wealthy bourgeoisie. She has the privilege of choosing who she wants to be, while Andrea has to fight every day just to stay afloat. Their love is intense but constantly threatened by class differences, misunderstandings, and Andrea’s deep sense of inadequacy when faced with someone who can afford dreams without the weight of reality dragging them down.

As his relationship with Giulia becomes more complicated, Andrea also finds himself at a crossroads: should he resign himself to a job he hates and a life of uncertainty, or should he try to pursue writing, his true passion? But can he really afford to chase a dream when his bank account is always empty and the future offers no guarantees?

With Rage and Love is the story of a generation without anchors, where loving also means clashing, and dreaming is a luxury.
