Where and when

Bologna, 2017

Granarolo, the leading Italian group in the fresh milk and dairy sector (as well as dried pasta, cured meats and plant-based foods), is celebrating its sixtieth birthday with a series of events that have involved cities and the media.  Elastica curated the photographic exhibition “60 YEARS – we’ve grown up with you,” full of previously-unpublished photos from the company’s historical archives, to tell the story of Granarolo’s work, innovation and development over the years.

For several days the squares of Bologna, Milan and Bari hosted the exhibition, which travelled around Italy to bear fitness to the brave pioneers who started off in Emilia Romagna but widened their horizons and increased their knowledge, through stories big and small, with emotion and humanity behind one of the most well-known brands in Italy and abroad.

We also helped Granarolo with the lead up to the presentation of the book Latte soldi e politica [Milk, Money and Politics] (Il Mulino 2017). The Salone Bolognini hall, which forms part of the San Domenico complex in Bologna, hosted a meeting between the two authors, the historic president of Granarolo Luciano Sita and the journalist and writer Luciano Nigro, who took part in a dialogue with Ferrucio De Bortoli. They chatted freely about the book and the events behind it, involving not just the company itself, but political and institutional events over a long historical period, including the First Republic, which was marked by financial corruption, brilliant triumphs, fraud and success.
