Where and when
Cabras, July 2023
Three events enlivened Sinis Archaeological Park over the month of July 2023, with communications curated by Elastica: the International Festival of Archaeology, Cabras Literary Festival of Archaeology (now in its second edition), and the new Sardinia Archeofilm Festival. Running alongside was the Summer School “The Communication of Archaeology for Local Development”. Aimed at students, tourist operators, journalists, local administrations and professionals, it featured six days of lessons, workshops and activities.
Elastica brought this rich and detailed event calendar to the attention of the national press – both mainstream and niche – in a pop culture style. The goal was to render the archaeological area accessible even beyond Sardinian borders and attract visitors to the museum sites. Bespoke storytelling aroused the interest of numerous publications, including Focus, Il Venerdì di Repubblica, Gente, Radio InBlu, Sky Arte, Artribune, Ansa, LaPresse, AgCult, AdnKronos.
At the same time, close and timely relationships with the local press were fostered and maintained – with reports, ideas and previews – to provide attendance with concrete support.
Also curated by Elastica was part of the Archaeological Literature Festival line-up, with the involvement of Ester Viola, Marco Frittella, Annalisa Cuzzocrea and Gino Castaldo in the literary review, and Pablo Trincia, Valerio Aprea and Makkox for the live shows.
