“What will happen?” “Close the Gap: Reducing Differences” and “Ethics at Work” were the three themes that defined the three events.

The first, which took place on November 13th and 14th 2020, was live-streamed on Corriere.it’s portal, on Corriere della Sera social media, and in a special broadcast on La7. A physical studio at Teatro Duse in Bologna, three connected piazzas in Turin, Monza and Florence, three hours of live event, shown in two episodes of streaming. Air, water, fire and earth were the elements which came together to tell the story of today and especially tomorrow, with guests such as the oceanographer Maria Sole Bianco, the explorer Alex Bellini, the writer Amitav Gosh, the neurobiologist Stefano Mancuso, as well as Stefano Liberti, Alessandro Bergonzoni, Pif, Ron, and Lo Stato Sociale. The event was presented by Tommaso Labate and Natascha Lusenti and accompanied by the band Ridillo, together with the creative participation of Sergio Staino and Makkox.

The second event was produced on March 1, 2021, as part of the “Close the Gap: Reducing Difference” campaign, focused on diversity and gender inclusion. Many guests, including Maura Latini managing director of Coop Italia, Linda Laura Sabbadini director of Istat, economist Azzurra Rinaldi, Veronica Yoko Plebani Paralympic triathlon champion, Francesca Michielin and Michela Giraud the queen of stand up comedy. After many female voices, Gianrico Carofiglio closed with an unreleased monologue of his own. Handling the live guests and connections from the recording studio were journalists Tommaso Labate and Natascha Lusenti assisted by the resident band le Ledyvette and cartoonist and activist Takoua Ben Mohamed. The event was an opportunity to reiterate the actions that are part of the campaign launched by Coop and relaunch the petition “Stop Tampon Tax! The cycle is not a luxury” promoted by the association “Pink Waves” to cut VAT on tampons.

The third event was held on July 22, 2021 in the land of Bari and turned the spotlight on the issue of the safety of production chains, in the agri-food and other fields. The appointment “Ethics at Work” and the safety of production chains, in the fields as in the professions, with a special focus on the rights of women workers. Live from the Bari-based Giuliano Puglia Fruit farm, hosts of the appointment were journalists Gino Castaldo and Natascha Lusenti. With the media partnership of Repubblica, which broadcast the meeting live, on stage were speeches by Maura Latini, Francesco Manacorda, editor-in-chief of La Repubblica’s Economy and Finance, theologian Vito Mancuso and actress Veronica Pivetti, among others. Giving rhythm to the Apulian evening was the music of Noemi and rapper Murubutu, the Orchestra dei Braccianti, the Stefano Di Battista Band, the notes of Ginevra and the Municipal Band of Conversano.
