Following the installation of the new rector, the collaboration between Elastica and Johns Hopkins SAIS Europe, one of the world’s most important university centers for economics and international relations based in Bologna, continues with the Alumni Weekend.

Legacy, with the local and networking being the two cores of the weekend that every spring brings hundreds of former students back to the city, and that in the 2024 edition saw several key elements entrusted to Elastica: the conference at the Teatro Medica Palace that officially kicked off Bologna’s most cosmopolitan weekend of the year, the welcome and networking cocktail event in the evocative blue-lit Corte Isolani, and the conception and organization of the final event at the Institute’s headquarters.

The TEDx-style open mic christened Alumni On Stage is Elastica’s proposal to update an experience that has become a must for many alumni over time.
The ingredients were simple: a call to invite alumni to get involved, a stage and a microphone always on in front of an informal audience and, added value, the passion of those who decided to participate by giving a self-directed speech to share personal memories, professional paths and expectations for the future. The benefits were more than significant: Ties between members of the SAIS Europe community strengthened, networking facilitated, talents that departed from Bologna for all continents charted, successes – but also failures, falls and rises – shared, and many fun moments.

Elastica continues to be at the side of Johns Hopkins SAIS Europe for media relations, working on the image and positioning of the Institute and its new rector Renaud Dehousse with the Italian press.
