Michela Cerruti

She was born in 1987 and holds various records: only woman in the world to have won in Touring, Gran Turismo and Single Seater category, being the second woman in 39 years, and the only Italian, to win a race of the VLN Endurance Championship, on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

She has a Psychology degree from Cattolica University in Milan.  Since she was a child, Michela has been passionate about sport and speed, and used to take part in competitive skiing events when she was young.  She discovered her passion for motor racing at about 18 years old.  Her father Aldo, one of the top racing drivers from the 1970s in the touring category, where he was known as Baronio, let her do an advanced driving course with Mario Ferraris, who was impressed by Michela’s speed and instinctive control of the car, and convinced her father to let her try motor racing.
She is currently the top Italian female racing driver, and undoubtedly one of the top racing drivers in the whole of Europe.  At the end of June 2014, Michela won an amazing victory in the Auto GP championship, one of the most important championships with large cylinder single-seater cars (550cv), considered one of the closest steps in preparation for Formula 1 (in terms of the power of the single-seater cars used).
Since January 2015, thanks to the Italian Federation, Michela Cerruti has been a member of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission (WIMC), representing Italy.
In 2015, Michela was a member of the Walkenhorst Team and made her debut on 28 March in the VLN Endurance Championship in a BMW Z4 GT3.
Since April 2016 Michela has taken care of the development of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR projected and built by Romeo Ferraris for the TCR International Series, racing against all the top motor racing manufacturers and the top touring category racing drivers in the world.Lamborghini also chose to put her behind the wheel of a Huracan GT3 for the Antonelli Motorsport team in one of the most difficult races in the 2016 Blancpain Endurance Series.
Michela writes for Huffington Post, L’Automobile and Autocapital. She works for SKY Sport as commentator and expert during Formula One Gran Prix.

Michela is available as a motivational speaker, discussing themes such as: teamwork, achieving goals, and the role of women in the workplace. Michela Cerrutti and her staff can organise team building days for companies and their employees.
